I have observed that he dedicates over 9 hours each day to listening and practicing, as well as teaching his students.

I have been taking Carnatic music lessons with Sooraj sir for the last several months. He is extremely patient and detail-oriented while ensuring that I have learned the lessons that has been taught - before moving on to the next. I find that with this approach, the pressure to keep progressing is taken away and it is at my pace. With his lessons, I am understanding the basics of shruthi, thalami, swarasthanam and raga better. I am currently in Australia and was searching for a classical music teacher to continue my classes. I studied classical music almost 10 years but there was some gaps in between. So I contact him and told my needs and he start my classes from the very next week. He is so patient also, very friendly person and always happy to help. Really enjoying my classes. I was looking for someone who could teach basics of playback singing online since I live in USA. Based on the reviews I contacted Sooraj Krishna. He understood my needs and is providing customized lessons to reach my goal. The classes are based on Carnatic music theory.
